emphasis pronoun
[A summer savory plant growing in the ground.]
I just bought 1000 summer savory seeds. SS is this amazing herb that’s kind of hard to find - my MIL-to-be gives us a little bit every year and we have to ration it (I usually use it on steak). But I want to put it on EVERYTHING because I love the way it tastes.
So for the first time this year, I’m going to try to grow a plant from seed. (Suggestions appreciated, btw). Then I’ll have a whole bunch, and I can have a nice gift for my gardening friends and family, and it’ll be something they can’t get at Lowes.
My container garden was one of the highlights of my year last year. It was such an instant way to relax myself and feel productive on a daily basis; whenever I got an itch to indulge distraction or just get out in the fresh air, I could just walk outside and touch and water my plants. And then I would have the smell on my hands when I went back to work. Best of all, it yielded a gazillion kinds of fresh and delicious. My basil was AMAZING, as was my oregano. Vegetables weren’t quite so productive, but I kicked ass at herbs.
This year my fiance is taking me on a gardening shopping spree for my 25th birthday (in a month, eek!) and just thinking and talking about working on it again is making me super giddy.
